Where are my ovaries and uterus?!
Where are my ovaries and uterus?! This work is about how global pandemics affect people on different levels and have changed my life in various ways. I got three Moderna COVID-19 vaccines and my menstrual cycle changed to irregular. Before my hysterectomy surgery, I asked my doctor to give me photos of my tumor, ovaries, and uterus as I wanted to see which I might be able to use for future artworks. But I got a response that the photos were too blurry, and I never saw them. So, now what I can do is research and reference how the carcinoma tumor, ovary, and uterus look in the medical book. The research I am focusing on is how the COVID-19 vaccine affects the menstrual cycle, which might link up to my ovarian cancer. I found one study that their objective is whether COVID-19 vaccination is associated with changes in cycle or menses length in those receiving vaccination as compared with an unvaccinated cohort. The test results are that questions persist about potential effects on other menstrual aspects, like symptoms, unscheduled bleeding, and changes in the quality and quantity of menstrual bleeding.
It is a scarecrow composed of a shrunken eyeball as a head made of clay in raku fire and a stainless-steel stand. The torso shows only muscle and the pattern as vein; the ovaries and uterus are surrounded with carcinoma mass. The red glaze represents the muscle and texture, and the transparent blue represents how the chemo drug went through my body. The carcinoma tumor has an iridescent effect. And the head, ovaries and uterus are in a shiny gloss raku fire.
