“Summer Cincy"
Summer Cincy is my first piece of lithography print-making work. It is about my parents’ 2023 Summer vacation from Hong Kong to Cincinnati for sightseeing. The Chinese zodiac represents my family members: the dragon is my mother, the boar is my father, the rooster is my husband, and I am the skeleton. The print also includes my dogs Lily and Clyde, and my two cats, Fooskie and Foggie (who is on top of the donut).
The background consists of the Music Hall and the historical underground brewery we toured in OTR and downtown Cincinnati.

“Summer Cincy" - sketches & tracing images
I scanned my sketches and adjusted the sizing and position in Adobe Illustrator, then I printed it out and with oil-based opaque pen inked on an acrylic sheet. After that, I used a tracing on the aluminum plate and drew it with different softness of crayon.
