“Urban Pyramid”

The Urban Pyramid is a response piece of the Pyramid Collage. I shaped the pyramid with acrylic sheets to represent how we live in a synthetic digital world and laser engraved five elements: gold, wood, water, fire, and earth. And I painted them in a bright acrylic color.

The bottom of the pyramid connects with the ceramic eyeball statue, which has a pattern of the blood vein connecting the earth to the soul. The LED light is the soul of the fragile terracotta body.

"Pyramid Collage"

Everyone has roots like family and DNA; whether you like yourself or not, they belong to you and are innate (essentialism.) The bottom images of this collage represent those roots, memories, and experiences. Life is like unstoppable, uncountable waves that hit you until you die by yourself, like the complete shadow of a single person. After that, people might believe in hell and heaven after life, like the left-hand-side of the blue tone of heaven and the right-hand-side red tone of hell. Those are from the people's imagination. Life is to live in the moment. The triangle-shaped layout is spiritual, dividing five elements: gold, wood, water, fire, and earth.
